As many as 67,012 students will be appearing for the Comed-K entrance test on Sunday from 104 centres across the State for admission to management-quota medical, dental and engineering seats in private professional colleges.
The new seat sharing arrangement between the government and private managements this year provides a higher share of seats to management quota in private institutions, especially in medical and dental colleges, compared with previous years.
This year the number of non-Karnataka candidates (44,820), who have applied for Comed-K UGET, is almost double the number of students from the State (22,192). The Physics and Chemistry (combined paper) exam will be held between 10 am and 12 noon, the Biology paper between 2 pm and 3 pm and that of Mathematics between 3:30 and 4:30 pm.
Comed-K Secretary Dr S Kumar said biometric identification introduced at various levels will ensure there is no impersonation during the examination.
