COMEDK will conduct a separate entrance test for Medical and Engineering Under-Graduate courses called ‘COMEDK UGET-2009', for candidates seeking admission to Under Graduate courses in MBBS and BE. The entrance test is being conducted for merit determination for use by COMEDK Member Institutions only. The COMEDK entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the Under-Graduate courses in COMEDK Member Institutions. The COMEDK UGET-2009 test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year 2009-2010.

In accordance with the consensual agreement between the Government of Karnataka and Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association (KPMDCA) this year 2009-2010 for admission to BDS there will be no Common Entrance Test. However centralised counseling will be conducted based on rank list prepared. Rank list will be on the basis of aggregate marks of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in the qualifying examination (2nd PUC/12th Standard or any other equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government).

Important note

Revised answer Keys and Test scores (Notified on 01/06/2009)

Objections for the Answer keys of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology were received till 23/05/2009. The experts reviewed all the objections and the revised answer keys for all the 4 versions (A, B, C and D) for Chemistry and Biology is notified. There are no changes in Physics and Mathematics Answer Keys. Details here.

Provision is made for re totaling and verification of your test scores. Clarifications relating to the Test Scores must reach COMEDK office on or before 06/06/2009 in the format given in Appendix III, accompanied by a DD drawn in favour of COMEDK 2009 payable at Bangalore at Rs.100 per candidate.

Score generation is based on the revised Answer Keys. Use Applicant Login to view your Test Score.

Entrance Test is necessary for admission to BDS also in view of the changes announced by Government of Karnataka.
Application already received for MBBS or BOTH (MBBS & B.E) will automatically be eligible for BDS also.

Application Procedure

The process involves the following stages:

Note: Send the application in A4 size envelope only. Do not fold the application form. Applicants are requested to send the filled-in application form at the earliest to avoid any delay. Please do not wait until the last date to send in your forms.

Ensure that the Demand Draft for Rs.650/-(Rupees six hundred fifty only) if you intend to appear for MBBS(PCB) or BE(PCM) and Rs.850/- (Rupees eight hundred fifty only) for MBBS and BE(PCMB), to be kept ready before filling up the Online Application form, as you will have to enter the DD details.
The Online application form has to be filled up properly and completely.
Take a print of the filled in Application form and Date of Birth Certificate/ Identity Proof. (Two copies: 1) Candidate Copy and 2) COMEDK Copy)
The Application form is said to be complete only if it is enclosed with all the documents mentioned below and mailed to COMEDK office.
Multiple application form filled and received from the same candidate will result in confusion and may cause for disqualification.
Multiple Demand Drafts if sent (Excess Amount) by the candidate will not be refunded.
Non refundable fee for taking COMEDK UGET-2009 and attending centralized counseling if eligible is (Rs. 650/- or Rs. 850/-)
If Demand Draft is not enclosed the application will be rejected.

Note:
The recent passport size photographs to be provided have to be identical. It should not be more than 6 months old. Application with smudged/tampered or hazy photograph will not be accepted. Any application received not adhering to these specifications will be rejected without any clarifications and no refund will be made. The decision of the COMEDK Committee on this would be final and binding.

The completed Application Form has to reach COMEDK office by post or courier on or before Saturday the 11th April 2009 to the following address.
