Relenting to the protests by students and parents over discrepancies in the PUC II results, both the CET cell and COMEDK have decided to postpone the announcement of their results.
The announcement of the Common Entrance Test (CET) results, which was scheduled for Tuesday, has been put off by a week. The results are likely to be made public on June 1 or 2 now. The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) has decided to postpone the UGET results, which were to be declared on May 30. They will now be announced on June 8. Officials from the Pre-University Department announced that parents need not come to DPUE to collect marksheets. Instead, they can apply for the photocopy at Bangalore One and the scripts will be sent to them within 48 hours. Last year over 40,000 students had applied for photocopy, of which 19,700 went for revaluation. Of these 1,379 actually got additional marks.
