The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association in their endeavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admissions to the Member Institutions, have formed "Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka" COMEDK.

COMEDK has been assigned the task of organising a Common Entrance Test for the academic year 2011-2012, for candidates aspiring to pursue Under Graduate courses Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges in the State of Karnataka, in member institutions of the Consortium (Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges).

COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (Single window system). The list of the Member Institutions who would be participating in the COMEDK testing program, along with the courses offered by them for the year 2011-2012, will be published on this website.

COMEDK UGET - 2011 in respect of Undergraduate Medical, Dental and Engineering courses will be conducted on Sunday the 8th May 2011 in different cities across the state of Karnataka. Keep checking this website for more information on COMEDK as it is available.

Eligibility Criteria for applying to COMEDK UGET-2011

Applicants should have passed the 2nd PUC / 12th std equivalent exams. Candidates who have appeared for the examination and expecting results may also appear.
For MBBS and BDS: As per the MCI(Medical Council of India) and DCI(Dental Council of India) norms.
For BE: As per the AICTE(All India Council of Technical Education) norms.

Application

Applications should be filled here after obtaining a DD for Rs.800 for 3 subjects (PCM or PCB) and Rs.1000 for all 4 subjects (PCMB) in favour of "COMEDK", payable at Bangalore and posted to the below given COMEDK address along with the DD and the documents asked on or before 19/04/2011.

SC/ST/Backward Classes certificates

All Karnataka candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes of different categories are requested to furnish relevant caste certificates valid for the current year issued by the competent authorities of State Government.

These certificates are required to be sent to the
COMEDK Office,
No. 132, 2nd Floor,
11th Main, 17th Cross,
Malleswaram, Bangalore - 560 055 (Opp. Old Chaya Nursing Home)
by speed post /courier by quoting Application Number and TAT Number on or before 10th June 2011.

Certificates submitted and claims made after the last date mentioned above (i.e., 10th June 2011) will not be entertained.
