COMEDK will conduct a separate entrance test for Medical and Engineering Under-Graduate courses called ‘COMEDK UGET-2010',
for candidates seeking admission to Under Graduate courses in MBBS and BE.
The entrance test is being conducted for merit determination for use by COMEDK Member Institutions only.
The COMEDK entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the Under-Graduate courses in COMEDK Member Institutions.
The COMEDK UGET-2010 test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year 2010-2011.
COMEDK welcomes the eligible candidates for the admissions of
Undergraduate Medical, Dental and Engineering Courses for the academic
year 2010-2011.
COMEDK UGET - 2010 in respect of Undergraduate Medical, Dental and
Engineering courses will be conducted on Sunday the 9th May 2010
in different cities across the state of Karnataka.

Test Admission Tickets and Related Information
Candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET-2010 will be issued a Test Admission Ticket (TAT) for identification. Candidates are required to bring the Test Admission Ticket and the original (Candidate Copy) Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof duly attested by the Head of the Institution last studied or Gazetted officer not below the rank of Tahsildar of the area in which he/she is a resident, which is similar to the copy submitted (COMEDK Copy) along with the application form. This is mandatory.
The Test Admission Ticket gives the details of test centre assigned to the candidate. The candidates are assigned a test centre decided by the COMEDK authority during the application processing, itself and no requests for change in Test centre would be considered.
The Test Admission Tickets would be dispatched to the candidates by speed post at the address mentioned in their application form as and when the applications are processed. However all Test Admission Ticket will be dispatched by 16/04/2010.
Candidates who do not receive the Test Admission Ticket must check the COMEDK web site in their Applicant Login on or before 30/05/2010, and then contact COMEDK helpdesk or send email to have the details of the Test Admission Ticket.
COMEDK is not responsible for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the candidate in the Application Form. However, provision has been made for issue of a Duplicate TAT at the Test Centre for such of the candidates who might not have received the TAT sent by speed post. Effort to collect Duplicate Test Admission Ticket (TAT) from the Test Centre is the sole responsibility of the candidate.
Candidates must not mutilate the TAT or change any entry made therein. Candidates are advised to preserve their TAT in good condition till admission in the College is over.
Please recheck the website for any changes / updates before leaving your hometown for the test. Change of address, if any, during the process of COMEDK UGET-2010 must be intimated through post / courier / Email / Fax and so as to reach COMEDK office not later than 29/05/2010, the responsibility for the same rests solely with the applicants.
Test and Related Information
The Entrance Test COMEDK UGET-2010 is mandatory for all candidates seeking admissions to MBBS/BDS/B.E courses in Member Institutions of COMEDK. A merit / rank list is generated based on the candidate's scores in entrance test.
Test Scheme COMEDK UGET-2010 will have the following papers:
- {Combined paper for Physics and Chemistry} Compulsory for all the candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET-2010.
- Mathematics Compulsory for the candidates aspiring for B.E.
- Biology Compulsory for the candidates aspiring for MBBS/BDS.
- A single test combining Physics and Chemistry subjects will be held on Sunday the 09/05/2010 in the Forenoon Session (10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon). There will be a total of 120 questions: 60 questions in Physics and 60 questions in Chemistry. The test duration for combined paper is 120 minutes, and is compulsory for all candidates seeking admissions to M.B.B.S., BDS and B.E courses.
- Mathematics and Biology tests will be held on the same day 09/05/2010 in the Afternoon Session separately, with each subject having 60 questions with duration of 60 minutes. Candidates are free to choose any one or both the subjects. Mathematics Test will be conducted from (2.00 PM to 3.00 PM) followed by Biology test from (3.30 PM to 4.30 PM).
- Candidates are required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet (Optical Mark Reader).
- Each correct answer is awarded one mark.
- No Mark/s will be awarded for multiple marking (marking multiple responses) of any question.
- There will be no negative marking.
- However, in the event of a tie in score the principle of least negative responses (Number wrong answers) will be adopted. In addition, if required, other methods may be adapted to break ties vide 6.8.
Test Locations
The COMEDK Entrance Test, COMEDK UGET-2010, will be held in different cities/towns across the State of Karnataka. The test will be held on the mentioned time and date in all the test centres. The details of all the test centres will be published online. The centre address will be mentioned in the TAT, which would be dispatched to the candidates prior to the examination as per the calendar of events.
